Job Description

A global figure in cutting-edge software solutions is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to work on a wide range of exciting current and upcoming projects.They are providing essential solutions using modern technologies and are seeking the most talented individuals within commutable distance to Nottingham (currently the role is remote until it’s safe enough to be onsite).The companyWell-known for producing innovative solutions in a range of areas including consulting, integrations, communications, data science and more, you’ll be joining their Nottingham-based engineering team to work on complex software and infrastructure design.As a Principal Software Engineer, you’ll be involved in data analysis, data structures and QA. There’ll be extensive use of database systems, data models, new products and innovations. You’ll be working on brand new specifications and will be included in strategic development decisions for products and systems going forward.Essential experience

  • At least 7 years’ commercial software development experience as well as development and design of applications
  • Java/J2EE, PL/SQL, SQL
  • MVC Frameworks (Spring / Struts)
  • JavaScript, Git
  • Good communicational ability
    • Experience in cloud-based environments will be beneficial, as well as the ability to work in a team-based environment. You’ll be working with an incredibly talented and passionate team so a drive to keep growing would certainly fit in – the business loves to hear about new ideas for technological advances and growth too so any ideas you may have on current projects/technologies or future ones are welcome.In light of the current situation, interviews for this Principal Software Engineer position and onboarding processes are all taking place remotely for the time being.Salaries are offering in the range of £50,000 - £60,000 dependent upon experience including a great benefits package including flexible working, a health cash plan; there is also well-structured and forward-thinking progression available.
