Principal Cyber Security Consultant Fully Remote / UK home based for Nottingham based company £95,000 - £100,000 (Negotiable) + Bens Leading global cyber consulting firm requires highly experienced senior cyber security consultant for principal consulting position working with new and existing clients including UK MOD and NATO. This ISO9001, ISO27001, Investor in people, NCSC member andIP Gold standard company are now looking for a new Principal Consultant due to ongoing growth.The RoleTo provide security technology consulting services to customers in defence, security, and commercial sectors and to be engaged in a broad range of activities from helping a customer define and develop a solutions to an immediate need while considering thestrategic long-term exploitation of emerging technologies. The Principal Security Consultant may work alone or as part of a larger or third-party (consortium) team and will have a secondary role supporting business development and sales.Day to day you willConduct research, innovation, and development work in cybersecurity-related topicsDeliver their portfolio of Cyber Security Advisory ServicesAssist in the development of innovative cybersecurity-related solutionsUse business, industry, and technical knowledge to elicit customer business requirementsand define technical requirementsDesign and document solutions architecturesEvangelise company services, products, technologies, and expertise externally, and develop networking relationships with customers and industry contactsContribute to the production of sales and marketing collateral including technicalwhite-papers describing the product capabilities, deployments and discussing the implications of emerging technologiesProvide coaching and mentoring to junior team members to ensure they are better able to deliver products, solutions, and services that delight their customersSkills and Experience required includes solid knowledge of: Cybersecurity and privacy standards, frameworks, policies, regulations, legislations, certifications, and best practices andInformation security and security controlsCybersecurity tactics, techniques and proceduresLatest NCSC GuidanceLatest cybersecurity trendsLegacy security techniquesUnderstanding and working knowledge of the defence / military arenaCybersecurity risks and threatsSecurity technologies and solutionsOperating systems securityComputer networks securitySecurity controlsCloud-based systemsLeadership of technical programmesAnalysing and solving complex problems and security challengesFormal systems architecture and modelling including preparing architectural and functional specificationsTOGAF Certified or NATO Architecture Framework experience preferredExperience of modelling languages such as UML, SysML, ArchiMate or BPMNAssessing the security and performance of solutionsDeveloping and testing secure code and scriptsWorking in accordance with NCSC Guidance and Advice, and implementing guidelines stated by NCSCDeveloping security and privacy requirements and identifying effective or ineffective related solutionsProposing cybersecurity architectures based on stakeholders needs and budgetCoordinating the integration of security solutionsEither holding UK Security Clearance or having willingness to undergo UK Security Clearances is key The role will be home based with regular travel to customer sites within the Uk.
