Job Description

Our client is a looking for a Picker / Packer to join their small and friendly team on a temporary to permanent basis. You will be based at their site close to Nottingham city centre. This is a full-time position that does offer some flexibility in working hours - initially this will be on a temporary basis but is likely to result in a permanent position.To be considered for the role, you will require the following essentials:

  • Forklift Truck Certificate or willingness to train.
  • Experience of working in a goods in/goods out role
  • Experience of picking stock and working with serial numbers
  • Ability to lift items safely and stand for long periods of time
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records
  • Ability to co-ordinate workload and prioritise when required
  • A ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to be flexible
    • Reporting directly to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate picking and packing of orders and all goods in/out. The ideal candidate will share company values and share celebration in their success.Within this position, you will also be:
  • Ensuring the despatch area is safe and tidy while providing essential support to the Production Team
  • Loading and unloading of lorries using pallet stacker where required
  • Receiving goods in – checking quantities and items against delivery notes and conduct initial quality control check
  • Picking stock using stock rotation
  • Ordering packing supplies via Procurement
  • Responsible for ensuring that the correct number and type of product(s) with correct serial numbers are packed safely for transporting and support on time delivery
  • Printing labels, flyers, documents and manuals appropriate to each shipment
  • Ensuring pallets are stored correctly and safely
  • Ensuring correct use of shrink wrap machine
  • Ensuring safe operation of machinery and alert HSQE Manager to any issues/faults immediately
