Job Description

SALARY: Reference to Agenda for Change, Band 6-7 Band 6 - £31,365 – 37,890 Band 7 - £38,890 – 44,503HOURS: 1 Full time position (37.5 hours)BASE: Primary Care Networks in Nottingham North and EastCONTRACT: PermanentCLOSING DATE: 8th November 2020INTERVIEW DATE TO BE ASSIGNED.PICS is the employer for this role. PICS is a local company wholly owned by GPs, specialising in community-based care, and run for the benefit of patients.ABOUT THE ROLEWe have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Dietician to join our dynamic team. This permanent position is well suited to an individual who is enthusiastic about providing high quality dietetic care and supporting the educational needs of healthcare professionals, working closely with Care Homes and community teams in the PCN.This role will be split between practices within Arnold and Calverton PCN - The Calverton Practice, Highcroft Surgery and Stenhouse Medical Centre - and Byron PCN - Oakenhall Medical Centre, The OM Surgery, Torkard Hill Medical Centre, Whyburn Medical Practice.The successful candidate will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, healthcare professionals and Care Homes, to implement and evaluate nutritional pathways for patients of the PCN.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing specialist nutritional assessment, advice and product prescribing/de-prescribing
  • Providing dietetic support to care home residents and training to staff
  • Supporting learning and education of healthcare professionals
  • Supporting practices in the prescribing and monitoring of all nutritional products
  • KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition & Dietetics or equivalent
  • Membership with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare and produce reports
  • Proficient in all Microsoft programmes
  • Good analytics skills
  • Attention to detail
