Job Description

JR are working with a leading manufacturer to find a Payroll Coordinator who can own and develop processes. With full responsibility for the input and production of the payroll for 600+ employees, you will have an exceptional eye for detail and ensuringdata is accurate before passing over to the Payroll Bureau.This role will suit someone who enjoys working in a structured and process driven way, streamling where possible and improving manual work arounds.Responsibilities:

  • Processing the payment of around 660 employees
  • Liaising with the external payroll provider (Zellis)
  • Collating and reviewing all payroll data received such as: new starters, leavers, hours changes, salary changes, overtime, maternity and paternity, additional payments and holidays etc.
  • Identifying payroll anomalies on monthly payroll checks
  • Understanding 3rd party deductions such as: Court orders, CSA, DEAs and priority orders
  • Being involved in the collation and distribution of monthly payroll reports
  • Investigating and resolving payroll queries either via phone or email
Key skills:
  • Experience in Payroll and understanding of payroll legislations
  • Experience of working with an external payroll provider would be advantageous
  • Experience working with ResourceLink (Zellis) payroll system would be desirable
  • Strong Microsoft Excel (v look ups, pivot tables, databases)
  • The ability to work to deadlines and adapt to changing demands, whilst being able to remain calm under pressure, with a disciplined approach, well-organised with a very strong attention to detail
