Job Description

Academics South Yorkshire are looking for an experienced Part-time SEND Teacher Nottingham to support young people with SEN as well as other additional behavioural needs in your area, helping with education and training. This role is to start ASAP at a welcoming,supportive PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) which caters for students who are at risk of permanent exclusion or already permanently excluded from a mainstream setting. These students are taught in smaller, mixed group classes to enable higher levels of staff/pupilratio to support in overcoming any barriers to learning and re-engage them in education.We are searching for qualified Part-time SEND Teacher Nottingham who are eager to make a difference to the lives of young people, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and understanding manner in order to improve the outlook of their educational journey.Part-time SEND Teacher Nottingham roles and responsibilities include:

  • Teaching responsibilities mixed classes of secondary age children
  • Recording, reporting and assessing student data including the development, attainment and progress as well as social/personal needs
  • Having strong communication between students, staff and parents
What we need from you:
  • Experience of working within a classroom environment
  • UK teaching qualifications or equivalent (including QTS/QTLS)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Commitment, drive and willing to go the extra mile for the quality education and training of children and young people
  • An enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to secure a new one if not on the update service
  • Appropriate teaching references on request
