There is an exciting new opportunity within the Neonatal Home Care Team. We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, motivated and experienced neonatal nurse to be part of our homecare team helping to provide a comprehensive service to help us maintain our 7 day working and contribute to the creation of a network-wide outreach service.There is an opportunity within East Midlands Neonatal Operational Delivery Network (EMNODN) for a Band 6 registered nurse to work within the North Hub of the region based at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) neonatal service to include extensive travel across the region.Band 6 neonatal nurses based at NUH are required to promote safe early discharge of babies from the neonatal units. Families will be supported to provide ongoing care needs in the home environment, for example the provision of nasogastric tube feeding at home.NUH neonatal service provides care for some of the most critically unwell infants in the EMNODN as a Level 3 centre, providing neonatal surgery within and beyond network boundaries. Band 6 vacancies are available at NUH to support early repatriation, create education packages for parents and staff within EMNODN as a neonatal outreach service able to provide surgical support.We take great pride in delivering high standards of care to our local neonatal population and are excited to create a network wide service to support vulnerable neonates on discharge from the neonatal service.Candidates must have current experience of caring for neonates in a hospital or community environment, and must be QIS trained in speciality. These posts offer a fantastic opportunity to utilise and develop your knowledge and skills in caring for babies in the home setting.These posts will support the existing outreach team in planning the care and transition from the neonatal unit through a structured discharge process, promoting safe early discharge from hospital to home.
