The roleAPIL is seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual interested in providing excellent administrative support to a very busy team.Based in our Nottingham office, the role will report to the Membership and Accreditation Manager and will focus on exceptional customer service to all stakeholders. As Membership Services Assistant, the role entails liaising with professionals by telephone,letter, email, and chat, while ensuring that our databases of records are kept fully up-to-date at all times. Assistance with recruitment and retention is an integral part of this position, as is the responsibility for all general day-to-day receptionist dutiesand answering calls from members of the public as required.In addition, the role also requires the provision of general clerical assistance for the Membership Services section and other teams within APIL.YouApplicants for this role should be able to demonstrate strong written, communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to deal patiently, courteously and with empathy at all times.Good organisational and accuracy skills are very important as you will be required to manage several duties at the same time. You should therefore be able to organise your workload to meet deadlines and the standards expected of you. A keen eye for detailis essential; a legal background or knowledge of the personal injury legal sector would also be helpful.You should be conversant with Microsoft Office software, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel. Previous customer service/receptionist experience, receiving visitors, deliveries and mail room activities, is also desirable.About APILThe Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) has been fighting for the rights of injured people since 1990.
