Job Description

Mechanical Structural Analyst.Mechanical Structural Analyst Based in Nottingham.Key Responsibilities of Mechanical Structural Analyst:We are looking for a Mechanical Structural Analyst to carry out and standardise our processes for stress, fatigue and vibration calculations for critical load carrying parts, to join our team delivering projects for global OEMs in the development of drive systems, gearboxes and electric machines for aerospace, automotive and other industries.

  • Developing processes and working rules to enable less experienced staff to effectively complete stress and fatigue analysis work with your technical supervision.
  • Writing up processes and training material for our customers.
  • Contributing to R&D projects to investigate novel design aspects.
  • Supporting sales
  • Writing proposals for project work
  • Contributing to thought leadership technical papers.
  • Key Requirements of Mechanical Structural Analyst:
  • 4 years experience of stress, fatigue, vibration analysis using finite element tools, ideally MSC suite tools.
  • Beneficial if this experience was gained in aerospace industry and you have a good understanding of aerospace requirements and processes.
  • High level qualifications (typically degree) in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or related subject
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to work flexibly and under-pressure.
