Job Description

Mechanical Design Engineer - NottinghamRef CTJ56£40,000 - £55,000Permanent This is an excellent opportunity for someone to become part of successful and fast-growing medium sized construction consultancy that is looking to expand its workforce by recruiting an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who has a strong background inBuilding Services.The ideal candidate will;

  • Have experience of design solutions including conception and completion involving calculations, specifications and drawings that are aligned to RIBA stages and BSRIA BG6
  • Have a qualification within a Building Services Degree or higher educational qualification (HNC/HND)
  • Be able to communicate and come across well to stakeholders
  • Have experience with IES modelling
  • Have used REVIT (training will be provided)
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for producing 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor 2017 onwards
  • Production of detail, sub-assembly, and general assembly drawings with consideration to the product structure for method of manufacture and maintainability
  • Provide support to design engineers with regard to best working practice in particular to the application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) system to define the required accuracy and precision of component parts
  • Provide configuration management checks and controls during planned absences of Drawing Office Manager
  • To define / create part numbers and produce bills of materials on the companys ERP system
