Job Description

Mechanical Design Engineer (Automation / Conveyors) Nottingham£40,000 - £45,000 DOE + Company Benefits Are you a mechanical design engineer, passionate about precision, looking to play a pivotal role in a revolutionary conveyor, automation and bespoke robotics manufacturer, which will ensure your success is nothing but an absolute priorityDo you want an opportunity to push the boundaries of technology and create bespoke solutions for a tier-one company where you are part of a team of industry-leading professionals shaping the future of automation in the UKOn offer is the opportunity to work for the next generation of automation solutions for a company that manufactures for materials handling requirements.You will play an integral part of a team and will have a range of responsibilities from product design anddevelopment to systems integration and materials selection through to vendor callibration and continious improvement.The Role:

  • Designing mechanical components and systems for conveyors, automation solutions, and robotic systems
  • Develop 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
  • Select appropriate materials for components based on strength, durability, and cost.
  • Building prototypes of mechanical systems for testing and evaluation. Conducting tests to ensure the functionality, safety, and reliability
  • Collaborating with project managers
The Person:
  • Produce drawings using SolidWorks / AutoCad
  • Creating BOMS
  • Experience as Mechanical Design Engineer designing conveyors, automation or materials handling equipment
