Job Description

JOB - Mechanical Design Engineer LOCATION - Nottingham TERM - Permanent SALARY - £30,000 - £45,000 (Great benefits package) A largely growing client of mine is working on an exciting opportunity to bring on a Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis in Nottingham. The organisation specialises in designing bespoke high precision products within a wide range of differentindustries.The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Knowledge / Experience of Mechanical Engineering
  • Engineering Qualification (BEng, MEng, BSc in Mechanical Engineering or similar)
  • Minimum of 1 - 3 years experience in a similar field
  • Ability to design products from initial concept through to manufacture
  • Excellent 3D CAD skills - (Solidworks or similar)
  • Ability to manage BOMs.
The Mechanical Design Engineer duties involve:
  • Execute design, product, process verification and validation requirements in accordance with company Quality Management System
  • Development of CAD / FEA skills through peer learning and organised training courses
  • Project management on exiting and new projects
  • Experience a wide range of business activities taking place in a large high precision company
  • Creating design models, drawings, and schematics in 2D and 3D CAD
