Whats more, for those with ambition, this role offers excellent career progressionopportunities and there is the potential for promotion to Maintenance Engineer.So, if you are eager for a new challenge and want to join an organisation committed to investing in their teams, we want to hear from you!The RoleAs a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out a broad range of maintenance, repairs and servicing activities safely and efficiently, with minimal impact on the environment.In this varied role, you will assist the Maintenance Team Leader with mechanical and rotating equipment maintenance activities. You will help co-ordinate and plan daily maintenance activities to ensure maximum plant reliability and flexibility is achieved andensure high standards of quality, safety and environmental performance.You will carry out all equipment monitoring controls, such as vibration analysis, as well as equipment spares assessment and ensure the availability of the plants equipment remains high.Additionally, you will:- Provide technical support to Operations- Ensure equipment compliance with the environmental management system and consent requirements- Assist with the quality control of all work within the Maintenance Department- Assist in outage planning, scheduling and co-ordination- Supervise and develop contract support organisations to deliver scheduled, preventative, breakdown, planned maintenance and operational activities- Keep detailed records of all maintenance, servicing and repairsAbout YouTo join us as a Maintenance Technician, you will need:- At least three years experience in power generation industry operations and maintenance and exposure to heavy process plant maintenance activity- Knowledge of power generation operations and maintenance associated with steam turbines, boilers, balance of plant, electrical generation and distribution up to 33kV, plant control and instrumentation and computer aided maintenance management applications- A good understanding of all HSE aspects- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- To be self-motivated, highly customer-focused and flexible- An ONC and/or City and Guilds and/or NVQ Level 3 in a Mechanical Engineering discipline with a high level of practical Operational and/or Maintenance experience and/or knowledge (qualifications below this may be acceptable if accompanied by suitable experience)An IOSH Managing Safely qualification would be preferred.Please note, the successful candidate will be required to join an on call rota and working patterns may change on occasion in order to meet the needs of the business.Other organisations may call this role Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Equipment Maintenance Technician, Repair & Maintenance Technician, or Operational and Maintenance Technician.Webrecruit and FCC Environment are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.
