Job Description

Opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Team Leader to join a leading recycling company at one of their processing facilities in Nottingham on day shift.Looking for an energetic, ambitious, hands on and dynamic Maintenance Team Leader with experience of working in a fast-moving continuous or batch processing environment with heavy industrial equipment and automation.Benefits:

  • c£38k
  • Day shift 6am to 3.30pm Mon to Fri
Role DescriptionThe Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for managing the workload and productivity of the maintenance team of approx. 16 people and you will report in to the Engineering Manager. You will also be responsible for delivering a safe, efficient working environmentembracing a culture of H&S.Ideally you will be electrically biased and happy to jump on the tools when needed, but mechanically biased engineers / team leaders also considered.Responsibilities of Maintenance Team Leader:
  • Motivate team and problem solve any issues in the processing facility
  • Assist operational managers with required duties
  • Delivery of effective communications and briefings
  • Drive a culture of health and safety through leading by example
  • Support a culture of Continuous Improvement
  • Ensure quality metrics are monitored and recorded at all stages of the process
Key Requirements:
  • Time served apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
  • Experience of working in a recycling / production / manufacturing or similar fast paced industry
  • Experience of leading a team to achieve or exceed production targets
  • Experience of maintaining heavy conveying / shredding / crushing / screening equipment
  • Ideally have experience or an understanding of Continuous Improvement tools, techniques and problem resolution
  • Ability to motivate others within a production environment
