Job Description

About The RoleYou will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of routine building, maintenance and repair jobs, with minimum disruption to the care home. Youll carry out audits and make sure records are kept up-to-date.Your key duties will include checking electricalitems brought into the home by our residents, oversee heating systems, fire alarm checks, refrigeration and general electrics. You will be accountable for compliance with the Health and Safety At Work Act, COSHH, service contract and inspections. And, whetheryoure replacing a tap or mixer valve, fitting a new extractor fan, repairing the timber on a bedroom window or putting up new wallpaper in the dining room, youll do so with a sense of kindness above anything else.About YouWere looking for someone with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning and housekeeping. Youll also need technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as ideally some IT skills.
