Job Description

Maintenance Operative | Sherwood | Part Time | £10.50 per hourOur client is a well-established private residential and specialist dementia care provider operating in the Sherwood area of Nottingham. Our client is based in a central location, with good transport links.As the Maintenance Operative, you will ensure that duties relating to regulatory compliance and the upkeep of the home are undertaken in accordance with health and safety and regulatory guidelines.What can you expect in return

Are you the right person for the job
  • You will be competent to use tools
  • Ideally some experience in maintenance or a trade
What will your role as a Maintenance Operative look like
  • Ensure that all fire safety, water safety, call bell and property checks are carried out in line with company policies and guidelines;
  • Decorating
  • Basic home maintenance;
  • Moving of home furniture and equipment; such as wheelchairs, walking frames, window restraints
  • Maintaining flower beds, borders and hanging baskets and watering as well as any light gardening when necessary.
  • Cleaning drives and pathways to keep clean and tidy from leaves and other items as well as gritting and snow clearance during inclement weather and cleaning of low-level gutters;
  • Maintenance of outdoor furniture;
  • Ensure utility meter readings are taken when requested.
  • Tap changes/ basic plumbing
  • Electric light/ socket changes
