Job Description

Territory: Midlands regionYour location: Living anywhere on territory (Leicester, Birmingham, Nottingham, Wolverhampton are all good locations)Do you live in the midlands region with a full UK drivers licenceAre you a recent life sciences graduate with either commercial B2B or laboratory experience with the hunger to succeed in a scientific sales role with uncapped commission & progression opportunitiesDo you want to work for a highly respected and well-known supplier of highly innovative laboratory equipment & consumablesIf you answered YES to the above, then this role could be perfect for you!The requirements of the Life Sciences Territory Sales Manager:

  • Educated to University degree level (BSc, MSc, or PhD) in a Life Sciences subject with a Biological focus such as Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Science, Biological Science, Immunology, Biochemistry or equivalent
  • Preferably you will already have 1 years of experience in either a field based or internal sales role covering the Midlands region selling either or a mix of laboratory consumables or equipment in the life sciences sector
  • You could also be a recent life sciences graduate with B2B experience gained in a Telesales, Account Manager, Recruitment environment with the hunger to succeed in scientific sales or a commercially minded & outgoing Scientist or Research Assistant
  • A full UK driving license is required with the ability to travel outside of territory when required
  • As our client is very agile in their processes and decision making, they therefore require individuals who enjoy working autonomously and with lots of initiative
  • Good IT skills - this includes the MS Office family as well as CRM systems
The responsibilities of the Life Sciences Territory Sales Manager:
  • As the dedicated Midlands Life Sciences Territory Sales Manager, you will be tasked to develop and manage laboratory end user accounts
  • You will successfully manage customer relationships, generate business to meet company and personal goals, making appointments and contacting existing and prospective customers providing a proactive service to secure business on a monthly and annual basis
  • Preparing sales forecasts to assist the management team when setting annual growth targets and KPIs
  • Proactively identifying new opportunities and ensure visible tracking of prospect progress to effectively close business in a timely manner
  • Provide transparent internal feedback concerning market trends and competitor activity as appropriate
Benefits:
  • Base Salary Circa: £25,000 - £35,000 (DOE)
  • £350 per month Car Allowance
  • Mileage paid 45p up to 10k miles, 25p for anything after
  • Fully uncapped OTE (2.5% of all sales over a specified baseline)
