As such, we aim to have a workforce with employees from all backgrounds with people who are passionate aboutearth science and who share our dedication to work for the good of the environment and the benefit of society.BGS is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Learning and Development (L&D) Business Partner to join the BGS Human Resources and Learning and Development Team at our headquarters in Keyworth, Nottingham.About the roleThe L&D Business Partner will work within the Human Resources (HR) function. The purpose of the role is design manage and deliver an effective customer focused L&D service which develops BGS staff and supports the delivery of the BGS business plan.The L&D Business Partner will work with the Head of Human Resources and the BGS Science and Technical Training Manager to deliver learning and development that meets the BGS business needs, adhering to UKRI policies, employment, legislation and best practice.The L&D business partner will support the Head of HR and team in progressing a range of HR related projects, strategic objectives and organisational development initiatives.About youYou should have a first degree (ideally in a HR or L&D related subject) and/or have the equivalent level of relevant/comparable work experience. Charted Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD) and a qualification in coachingand/or mediation would be desirable, as would accreditation in MBTI/Insights or a similar framework.Line management experience is an important part of the role and you will have experience of leading and motivating a team in an L&D environment.You must also have experience of effectively managing a L&D budget and knowledge of procurement processes in a training environment.Please also refer to the specific essential and desirable skills criteria for this post.How to applyApplicants are required to include a cover letter outlining their suitability for this role.
