Job Description

ROLE - Learner and Skills Mentor Trainer Assessor Location - Nottingham/Hybrid Working Available with travel across East MidlandsSalary - £23.8 to £27.5k based on qualifications/experiencePerm RoleRole OverviewTrigon Recruitment are recruiting for a leading Training Company who provide a range of employment related training including Full Time Programmes, Apprenticeships, Employability, Adult Learning Loans and work experience opportunities for adults and youngpeople from diverse backgrounds, that will enhance individuals employment potential and qualifications. This role is to engage with employers to support learners to achieve their Level 4 Learning and Skills Mentor Apprenticeship by delivering training, reviewingand assessing their progress and ensuring they attend appropriate off the job training. Based in Nottingham on a hybrid basis with travel in and around the East Midlands.Duties of Learner and Skills Mentor Trainer Assessor

  • To work with learners and their employers to identify training needs and to produce and update Individual Learner Scorecards.
  • To prepare, develop and deliver outstanding and innovative sessions either classroom based or using ICT such as MS Teams where relevant to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners and to design and to deliver individual/group activities that motivatelearners to aspire and achieve.
  • To ensure own currency of own knowledge re. the roles and responsibilities of a mentor; identifying opportunities for continual professional development in own practice; and in identifying the organisational and professional boundaries, legal and ethicalrequirements of mentoring
  • To review and record learners progress in the work place and off the job, discussing and setting targets with the learner, the employer and others included in the learning process. To ensure the learners progress is in line with their skills analysisand programme of learning.
  • To complete the necessary paperwork to both the company standards and those required in our contractual obligations with the ESFA and other agencies. To keep accurate records of assessments, planning Internal Quality Assurance and other documentation requiredby awarding bodies.
  • To work with learners in conjunction with the English, Maths Trainers towards the achievement of Maths and English as required by the funding organisation and the Apprenticeship itself.
  • To utilise technology efficiently and effectively throughout the learners programme.
  • To undertake duties for colleagues as and when appropriate.
  • Ensure all aspects of Equality & Diversity, Citizenship Ship, Prevent and British Values are up to date and embedded within the Apprenticeship.
Essential Criteria
  • Recent and relevant experience in Mentoring and Staff Development/Team Leading
  • A minimum of grade 4 Mathematics and English or Level 2 Functional Skills
  • Own transport and a driving licence.
  • Recent assessing / teaching experience
  • An assessor award
  • A Level 3 or above qualification in either Mentoring or Coaching
  • A Management qualification
  • A relevant teaching qualification
