We’re looking for a talented, focused and ambitious Senior Developer now looking to make a gradual transition into team leadership by growing a team, building out the right methodologies and working practices and of course ensuring the tech stack and overarching architecture is capable of delivering innovative web applications for high profile clients across the world.Reporting directly into the MD, you will work closely with the Head of UX to deliver projects by providing hands on coding expertise, ideally slotting in to their tech stack which is:Vue.JS with Typescript / NuxtJSFirebase / Firestore for DBPHPGraphQLOf course as Senior Developer / Head of Web you will be responsible for ensuring that this tech stack is fit for purpose, making recommendations and changes where possible. All your ideas and innovations will help to build a digital/commercial roadmap for the business, which could also see you become Development Director of this organisation in the future.You will have team leading responsibilities from day one and based on demand, it is already clear to see that you will need to hire additional Development resources. This may involve the use of freelancers / contractors as well as hiring key permanent members of your team. Already an Agile/Scrum environment, you will lead by example and ensure that all development activities are well managed and that the culture of the team is positive and productive.Our ideal candidate will have many years of Web Development experience, be a well respected Developer and someone who enjoys leading, mentoring and developing others. Any experience of DevOps, automation would be great. An eye for quality is essential as is the desire to make a clear move in to leadership. This is a role that can offer a very clear direction and is suited to someone perhaps frustrated by a lack of headroom / career progression in their current place of work.Despite them having an impressive workspace in Nottingham city centre they also work remotely, offering the perfect balance / lifestyle opportunity.
