Job Description

IT Workshop Engineer - Nottingham £24,000 - £25,000 + overtime opportunitiesConcept IT are looking for an experienced IT Workshop Engineer to join a well-established and growing IT solutions organization. You will be doing bench repairs, exchanging hardware components that may be in our out of the customer warranty.Great opportunity for an experienced Workshop Engineer or Field Engineer who would like to remain in 1 location.The workings hours are Monday to Friday working 7.5 hours a day. Shift start times are negotiable.Job Overview

  • Test and repair all products relating to company business predominantly Apple, HP, Lenovo, Dynabook and Viglen.
  • Ensure correct software and/or firmware is used on all repaired equipment.
  • Follow test and repair procedures as instructed.
  • Document all repair work as required and ensure thats Tesseract is kept up to date for parts used and repairs.
  • Prepare and Repair DOA Apple products for resale
  • Deploy via SCCM or USB images to select customers after machines are repaired/refurbished
  • Keep up to date with all repairs coming in, ensuring that all warranty parts are returned on time avoiding penalties
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of manufacturers training courses in areas of interest and relevance to the business.
  • To positively promote the IT Services Team, acting as a role model through promoting the activities, values and culture of the organisation.
  • Undertake pre-arranged out of hours support normally over the Christmas period as required
  • Any other duties that may be required from time to time for the smooth running of the business.
Technical Requirements
  • Must be able to work on own initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good planning and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload appropriately and meet challenging deadlines
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build effective 3rd party and colleague relationships
  • Good administrative skills
  • Possesses a passion for ICT, evidently keeps abreast of emerging technologies and analyses possible benefits to the company
  • Understanding of, and commitment to, safe site working practices
  • Ability to work in and react to a changing environment, and respond pragmatically to problems as they arise
  • Apple ACMT and/or ACiT
  • Willingness to attain any manufacturers courses as deemed necessary by the business.
  • SC clearance and Enhance DBS
  • HP and Lenovo service engineer accreditation
