Job Description

IT SupportThis is an excellent opportunity to work with a global leader in the field of logistics and supply chain management based at East Midlands Airport - Accessible by the sky link bus route. The role is a temporary ongoing position with a chance of becoming permanent for the right candidate.As part of our commitment to our workforce, full Aviation training will be provided, including; Cargo Operative Aviation Security Course.£22,000paShift pattern- 4 on 4 off a rotation between Days and Nights12-hour ShiftsFlexibility is needed to cover holidays and business needs.Excellent working environment.Role of an IT Support :

  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
  • Talk staff through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues.
  • Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
  • Replacing parts as required.
  • Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
  • Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system.
  • Support the roll-out of new applications.
  • Set up new users accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
  • Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs.
  • Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate).
  • Prioritise and manage many open cases at one time.
  • Test and evaluate new technology.
  • Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
  • As a IT Support you will need to have:

  • Expert knowledge in how operating systems and software works.
  • Interpersonal skills as you will regularly be in contact with colleagues.
