When was the last time you were in the right place at the wrong timeFor me, October 2010.Right place: In a canoe in the North Sea. Wrong time: at low tide.As a result, I was on my way to America wearing nothing but a life jacket and some pants (I lost my joggers in the sea).If youre a better judge of getting things in the right place at the right time than I am, this might be the perfect job for you.Inventory Planning Manager, Nottinghamshire.Youll be accountable for getting the right stock, in the right place, at the right time.It sounds simple, but when youre dealing with a few thousand product lines across multiple UK and international DCs, theres a good degree of complexity to the role.Youll be the crucial link between supply chain teams including forecasting, demand, production planning, and logistics operations.Through leading a team of planners, youll be balancing inbound, WIP, and outbound stock across the business, ensuring capacities arent stretched, storage is adequate, and logistics costs are minimised.Youll also be playing a key part in long term strategy, as the business will build strategy around your long-term horizon plans.Youll be part of a culture where people are valued equally (there are no big exec bonuses hereeveryone gets the same profit share), and an environment that is truly customer centric (the business is all about improving their customer experience.).The business has a track record of developing people, so you wont have the same developmental frustrations that you potentially have right now.About you:Experience of global inventory planning is essential, whether as part of wider supply chain role, or something more specific such as S&OP or SIOP. Were open on industry sector, as long as youve dealt with high volume SKU levels.Youll be joining an environment where youll be valued, challenged, and pushed, but ultimately supported by a group of excellent supply chain professionals. If youd like to find more, please apply via this ad.
