Job Description

We are actively looking to engage experienced candidates for an exciting International Shipping Co-ordinator opportunity in Nottinghamshire. The role will provide upskilling and training in certain areas of import & export shipping for a candidate with driveand ambition OR an experienced shipper!Client DetailsThe successful candidate will be joining a global industrial manufacturing organisation, shipping export goods across the globe. My client are a market leader in their chosen sector and have numerous key accounts across the aerospace and FMCG sectors. Theiroperation is located in Nottinghamshire!DescriptionAs an Intenrational Shipping Co-ordinator you will have a vast array of knowledge surrounding Import & Export Compliance. You will report into the Shipping Manager, in the Nottinghamshire office, and cover the following responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the import & export of shipped goods - Confirm due date and quantities of Finished Goods/Raw Materials movements with all internal and external teams.
  • Responsible for all customs documentation - Certificates of Origin, Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists.
  • Managing inbound goods flow with a high profile spend customers (in excess of £2million per annum)
  • To Follow up with customer and Freight Forwarders to obtaining missing documentation in a timely manner, this involves working with tight deadline. The Daily leasing with customers and carriers to check products have been delivered and the correct informationhas been provided and being confident in chasing and dealing with the demands of the business.
  • To collect and provide the shipping documentation for Letters of Credit, leasing with internal finance, customer service and compliance teams to ensure the understanding of requirements for a letter of credit is met. Contacting and chasing the Freight Forwardersfor the documentation required for the letter of credit within a timely manner to ensure we are paid before expiry of the letter of credit.
  • To communicate with the Chamber of Commerce to apply for attested documents as per shipping requirements of products being shipped.
ProfileThe successful Intenrational Shipping Co-ordinator will been an experienced member of the shipping and distribution sector. They will either by working in-house for a distributor / manufacturer or be leading a team in the freight forwarding / shipping world.You will also have the following skills & attributes:
  • 2+ years experience within Logistics / Warehouse / Shipping
  • Strong background in shipping, import and export (preference towards sea and air freight)
  • Ideally from a manufacturing or distribution background
  • Commutable to Nottinghamshire
