Job Description

Due to the increased demand for Kerry Louise Interiors services for our clients we are recruiting an Interior Designer to support new projects.We currently design and develop creative projects in the student accommodation sector however are looking to branch out to work with small developers in the commercial and residential sector.As part of our commitment to expansion we are going through a re-brand, new website and this has been attracting exciting new opportunities for us as a company.In 2017 we established the brand and have been specialising in turn-key projects for select clients who continue to entrust us to create homes that exceed the expectations of our customers.You’ll struggle to find us online at the moment due to all our media being in production however we have a large portfolio of projects we’ll be more than happy to show you at Stage 3.Our core values are delivering projects on time, providing a high level of service through communication and innovative designs that ensure our clients properties are market-leading.-

  • To build a strong brief from the client’s expectations including budget, functionality, market and key qualities during an initial consultation.
  • To take the client from consultation through the process of initial ideas, final designs, sourcing, and clear project instructions to the contractors
  • Source materials for the projects for the trades and create the FFE project pack.
  • Create accurate first fix plans for the trades on installation based on FFE measurements and final design elevations.
  • Liaise with trades during the renovation to ensure the project is being carried to the correct specification and project manage site decisions as well as building control, architects, utility providers and external suppliers.
  • Manage the scheduling of a project to ensure that it is being done on time and if there are any delays, project managing the contingencies and contractors to get it back on track.
  • Site managing the ordering, logistics, billing and installation of the fixtures and furnishings.
  • We will be creating new social media and the new member of team will be part of the creativity behind our online presence
  • Candidate Description:-As we are still within the early stages of expansion, you’ll be one of the core team members. This will be a fantastic opportunity for an interior designer who is looking to establish themselves within a company, help steer the vision and doesn’t mind getting hands on doing what needs to be done to deliver a flawless project.This will be rewarded by a performance based annual bonus and career progression.
  • Strong organisation skills and budgeting
  • Computer efficient with experience in CAD and SketchUp as well as pulling together a clean-cut presentation for the client
  • Creative with flair for being able to bring together innovative features into projects
  • Be able to listen to client, ask the right questions to really understand their vision and concept or if they are not sure then have the ability to take a lead through research and originality.
  • Experience is desirable in having project managed a design from concept to completion
  • We currently have live sites in London, Nottingham, Birmingham and Bristol. Travel will be part of the role so a drivers license is required.We are looking for the successful candidate to have a start date in August.Please note you will be starting during our busiest season (student accommodation sites) so the right candidate must have a strong work ethic and can-do attitude.Whilst we are not a big company (yet!), we have the aspirations and contacts to support a rapid growth. This role is perfect for someone who doesnt want to get lost in a large studio agency, understands what is expected when taking on this level of responsibility and has an interest in making their mark with progression ambition.
