Job Description

Import Export AdministratorLocation- UK wide (working from home for contract length with equipment supplied)Contact- 6 month rolling contractSalary: £10.00 per hour PAYEReporting to the Export Co-Ordinator the role is based around providing excellent customer service and administration within the Import and Export function.Responsibilities:

  • The management of the Import / Export ledger in conjunction with external logistics provider
  • Be the first point of contact for any import / export queries
  • Provide access to documentation as required
  • Prepare all export paperwork, proforma invoices and export declarations for issue to external logistics providers.
  • Complete Export ledger with export details.
  • Liaise with external logistics provider to ensure process compliance
  • Prepare all import paperwork to enable custom clearance.
  • Issue re-import clearance instructions to the agent.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding import of goods as necessary.
  • Complete Import ledger with import details and ensure all customs paperwork is stored and retrievable for any potential auditing purposes
  • Key Skills:
  • A sound knowledge of Import and Export processes- (Essential)
  • Knowledge of SAP and Excel- (Essential)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of country specific customs requirements
  • Experience of dealing with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders and logistics companies
  • Knowledge of SAP and Excel- (Essential)
  • incoterms knowledge is desirable but not essential
  • HMRC Customs experience (Desirable)
