HR Business Partner Full Time, permanent £35,000 to £40,000 pa plus benefits Immediate start The Island Quarter is an ambitious and exciting real estate development of a 36 acre freehold site in the heart of Nottingham. Conygar Plc is rejuvenating the area, creating a new city within a city for businesses, accommodation, leisure and the arts. Injoining The Island Quarter Careers Limited, your primary aim is to provide a comprehensive generalist HR support service, commencing with the establishment of this function for Phase 1A, known as Canal Turn. With the opening planned this summer, this is abrand-new mixed hospitality proposition, offering two restaurants, an outside live events space with a bandstand and an internal venue for private functions, a rooftop terrace as well as a florist, requiring an operating team of circa 100 employees. As a newly created all-encompassing generalist business partner role, reporting to the HR Director, you will work as a key member supporting our Management Teams across Canal Turn. You will have a hands-on approach to the implementation of the HR plan as webuild our HR strategy, structure, processes policies and procedures from scratch. This is a rare, unique and exciting opportunity to establish and embed our practices and will encompass all areas of the HR function including HR systems, contractual/non-contractualbenefits, recruitment and retention, compliance, employee relations, reward, training and development, HRMI and data monitoring as we establish these new business ventures. We are seeking an HR generalist who is an experienced self-starter and will quickly adapt to the fast-paced nature of this project and deliver on key deadlines in our rapidly approaching critical path to opening. An excellent business partner, you will be acollaborative and positive team player with the ability to build rapport quickly with key members of the senior management team and communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels. The ideal candidate will have CIPD level 5, a keen interest inlarge real estate developments, investments, new business start-ups and the hospitality sector and an understanding of the challenges this presents in the current social, economic and environmental climate.
