Job Description

Our client, based in Nottinghamshire, is currently recruiting for a Housing Officer on a temporarycontract for four weeks. The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the sector, access to a car and good knowledge of housing legislation.Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Responsible for managing a patch of properties in Nottinghamshire
  • Complete sign ups, tenancy visits (mostly digital) and estate management duties, including low level ASB
  • Inform residents of their rights and responsibilities and the services available
  • Carry our initial assessment of transfer and mutual exchange requests
  • Monitor and investigate non-compliance with tenancy agreements
  • Contact residents in arrears, provide details of account balances, and attend court/evictions
  • Liaise with relevant departments in response to resident reports of defects
  • Collate and complete documentation on termination of tenancies
  • Experience required:
  • Managed a patch of properties and provided a high level of customer service to tenants
  • Minimum two years’ experience within the sector
  • Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
  • Able to work effectively from home
  • Good knowledge surrounding housing legislation
  • Good knowledge of housing management and ASB issues
  • Working hours:
  • 35 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
