HGV Class 1 DriverHGV Class 1 drivers required for additional seasonal contract on Terberg shunting with well-known operator.Immediate starts available, after successful site assessment.The role:You will be a part of a large friendly team operating on a 379 acre site shunting trailers between inbound docks, outbound docks and the trailer parks.Since we operate on this site 24/7/365, the contract may be ongoing after the Christmas season for participants who have the right attitude, there may also be the opportunity of a full time position with the client if one becomes available.Current experience:Terberg experience is an advantage, along with a small amount of computer knowledge, but this is not essential as training will be given where required.Whilst on shift the instructions for the various trailer movements are delivered via an on board software system which will give information such as trailer number, collection point and destination within the site.The system also collects data about the timings of the trailer movements of which will be given to the drivers during the following week.Required skills:Drivers require the following to be able to be supplied to the client, unfortunately these have to be adhered to in order to be covered by insurance:You must have:Held HGV Class 1 licence qualification for a minimum of 2 yearsHad at least 180 days vocational driving experience within a period of 24 monthsNo more than 6 points for minor offencesYou will not be accepted if you have DD, DR, CD, CU, IN, or TT endorsementsPay rates:All of the rates shown below are a seasonally-adjusted maximum and includes basic shift rate + attendance bonus + performance bonus.Any bonus rates shown are a maximum and all targets must be achieved to qualify for the additional payments.LTD/Umbrella:Days - £14.84 (£13.34 + £1.50)Nights - £16.80 (£15.30 + £1.50)Saturdays - £18.77 (£17.27 + £1.50)Sundays - £20.73 (£19.23 + £1.50)PAYE workers also accepted, rates paid will be lower than shown.Working Rota:We operate 24/7, days/nights/weekends, various shift patterns available, one week booking plan, 10 hour shifts (breaks paid).The ClientA large prestigious client specializing in the global retail market, based on the outskirts of Nottingham.About usWe are driver recruitment specialists with over 100 years combined experience.
