Head of MembershipMembership BodyHybrid working (Nottingham Office and Home) Salary: £50.000-£55,000 plus a generous benefits packageFull-time, PermanentMy client, a leading membership body based in Nottingham is currently recruiting for Head of Membership.The Role of Head of MembershipTo manage and lead the membership services department, including membership, events and training to deliver an excellent service to members and generate incomeKey Responsibilities in 3 x key areas - Membership, Events and TrainingTo oversee management of the Public Enquiries serviceTo develop and manage the accreditation scheme and competency frameworkTo work with the Head of Public Affairs to promote to the public the accreditation programme and the public enquiries lineTo develop, market and manage the training programme including in-house trainingTo develop, manage and co-ordinate the presentation of the conferences and other eventsTo manage and develop the Membership Services teamTo lead advertising, exhibition and sponsorship activities to generate targeted annual incomeTo sit on the senior management board, led by the Chief Executive, to review, manage and develop the business strategy and operational efficiency and effectivenessTo support relevant committees and working groupsTo prepare and agree annual budgets with the Head of Finance and Chief Executive, work to income and expenditure targets and maintain overall budgetary control for areas of responsibilityTo work closely with the Head of Finance to ensure accurate and consistent financial record-keepingTo work closely with the Head of Business Development on projects as requiredTo lead in the management and development of the website working with others as requiredTo oversee IT support services for the whole the teamTo ensure a consistent approach to the use of the brand in marketing activityTo provide reports to the Chief Executive and Executive Committee on operational activity and prepare papers and presentations as required.Any other duties deemed as reasonably requiredPerson Specification At least two years experience in a similar role in membership, training or events managementDesirable: experience of the not-for-profit sectorDesirable: experience of working with volunteersDegree (or equivalent level qualification), preferably in a relevant disciplineLeadershipBusiness and service-focusedNegotiationWell-organisedNetworkingPresentation skillsBusiness proposalsMarket research and analyticalData management and analysisExperience of working with volunteersBudget managementStrong team playerTo apply to this role please send your CVDue to the volume of applications we are only able to contact successful applicants.
