Job Description

Head of MarketingEast Midlands - hybridCirca £75,000 p.a. + car allowance + 30% discretionary bonus

The Company:ER Recruitment are excited to be working with our client who are a leading National organisation and who are committed to supporting their customers in becoming more environmentally friendly. They are now looking for a Head of Marketing to evolve the organisationsoffering and will provide the opportunity to work across a broad spectrum of projects.Role & Responsibilities of the Head of Marketing:
  • Be accountable for the complete marketing plan and budget. You will need to be highly commercial to deliver customer insight, proposition development, and segment the marketing budget by sales channel to deliver against the business plan
  • Identify which activities provide the best returns for our resource and investment, the commercial opportunity and direct the business accordingly.
  • Define, develop and complete sustainability programs that underpin broad sustainability strategy
  • You will lead and grow the marketing talent within your team. You will be an experienced coach and mentor to this group. You will create a culture of brilliant execution working with your team and agencies to ensure the plan is delivered to a high standardon time and on budget
  • Take the 3-year business plan and together with the Sales Managers ensure our sales functions have all the relevant insight, technical knowledge, sales collateral and commercial arguments which will lead to higher margins, acquisition and customer retention
  • Build propositions for all business streams with clear competitive advantages in all product groups
  • Analyse data to uncover behavioural insights to improve communication
  • You will deliver a programme of insight to inform the business of the key drivers of customer satisfaction and will deliver improved NPS scores for the business.
  • Drive customer acquisition strategies especially around lead generation, CRM, improved data pools, SEO & PPC.
  • Be accountable for the brand consistency and the tone of voice as well as for all customer-facing and internal communication.
About You as the Head of Marketing:
  • Proven commercial marketing capability with experience of leading teams and agencies.
  • Experience of full marketing mix in both B2B and B2C sectors.
  • Results driven: Clear how marketing activity supports the execution of the business plan and drives commercial return. Uses data, insight and commercial evaluation as the foundation of building the marketing plan.
  • Will have a high degree of energy and with your team be prepared to lead from the front. You will be an ambassador of the company values.
  • Strong upward management and the ability to challenge and align the business through to board level. You will help drive and lead cultural change to put the voice of the customer at the heart of the organisation.
  • You will be comfortable working with data to drive lead generation and acquisition in the most cost-effective way.
  • You will increasingly use on line as part of the marketing mix for lead generation, customer experience and proactive social media.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work without a high level of supervision; motivated by the autonomy this allows.
