Job Description

Head of Global SustainabilityClimate17 are working exclusively with a leading UK health & beauty retailer and have partnered to support in their search for a Head of Global Sustainability. This is a high-profile role, with the scope to build on and evolve a sustainability strategy thatis underway, underpinning their brand and products.The role is offered on a hybrid basis, with the need for office presence 3 days a week based at their Midlands facility. As the title indicates this role has a global impact and involves collaboration with colleagues in all regions, along with a wider networkof stakeholders including regulatory bodies, NGOs and service providers. Do you have ambition to be a leading light in sustainabilityResponsibilities

  • You will lead with an entrepreneurial spirit with your key aim being the delivery of their 5 year strategy vision. The plan includes developing progressive science based targets, enabling business growth and meeting consumer needs.
  • Working in a visible role and you will be an influential representative of the business, with the opportunity to attend industry events and establish yourself as an opinion leader.
  • As a senior manager with a purposeful team, you will strive for best practice and excellence across compliance and key sustainability projects including: packaging, product, social purpose and environmental challenges.
  • This is an all-encompassing role, reporting to a senior Director, with clear goals and a passionate commitment.
Requirements
  • At least 8-10 years experience in product / brand sustainability, from an FMCG or similar industry.
  • Has transformed sustainability strategy previously and lead on initiatives.
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise across all aspects of Environmental Sustainability.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build trusted stakeholder relationships and work closely with internal teams.
  • Able to navigate within a complex structure and work closely with internal teams.
