This is the first senior finance role to be recruited in the last 6 years in the businesswhich says a lot about retention.The Head of Finance position has been newly created as the business re-shape to enable future growth and development. The good news is that this role has been covered previously by the Operations Director who has a top10 practice background. Even better,this person will be your new line manager so in terms of handover, knowledge transfer etc, it probably doesnt get any better.In terms of the position day to day, it is going to be suitable for you if you are experienced and enjoy a varied role and are looking for a position that has clear progression lines to FD in the future. Whilst you will have the support of a ManagementAccountant and ledgers, you will have to happy leading on monthly reporting, cashflow, VAT / HMRC/ONS requirements and taking the lead on statutory requirements at year end.Like a position at this level within any SME , you will also end up picking up some line management of operations, so you will ideally already have experience of leading a team of 10+ either direct or indirectly.This position is suitable for you if;-You are a fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)-You have strong reporting and commercial accounting experience that you are happy to use day to day to drive improvements in the business whilst also making sure stat requirements are met-You have good leadership experience and can lead a team from both a finance and operations perspective-You are looking to work within a fast paced business where you can get involved in all aspects of finance and commercial decisionsFor this position you should be happy to work in the office in central Nottingham most of the time, and as a member of the leadership team you will be happy to support with covering key weekend trading days as and when required.For further information then apply through the link and I will be in contact ASAP to discuss.Distinct Recruitment Privacy Policy
