Head of Cancer PerformanceBand 8C12 month secondment/fixed term contractAn opportunity has arisen for a dedicated operational leader to lead on all aspects of Cancer Performance.You will report to and deputise for the Deputy Chief Operating Officer and form part of a triumvirate alongside the Lead Cancer Clinician and Nurse leading on all matters relating to cancer performance and strategic development of cancer services. You will manage the NUH Cancer Centre and will work closely with the Clinical Divisions to drive improvement in cancer performance across the Trust.You will already be working at a senior level in operations and have experience within an acute Trust. Experience in managing operational performance and knowledge of cancer performance and pathways will be an advantage. You will lead the Trust in developing future plans to deliver the cancer standards and you will work with partners across the health system to develop innovative pathways.You will be expected to be able to work autonomously and on your own initiative. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to build relationships quickly and work effectively with other senior leaders in the Trust and across the health system to deliver the right outcomes, whilst ensuring that patient safety and quality of care is always front and centre.You will be a strong team player and will be able to engage teams in delivering the outcomes needed. With strong operational experience you have an understanding of the challenges and potential solutions to improving our performance.We are looking for someone who is passionate about improving care and experience for cancer patients, through building strong relationships both internally and externally, working closely with teams across the Clinical Divisions, the ICS and NHSE/I.
