Job Description

Group Financial AccountantNottinghamshire£40,000- £50,000Chase & Holland are looking for a passionate Group Financial Accountant. This is a role which would be a good fit for someone who is looking to make a meaningful change in their career and a role which will offer genuine variety. The right candidate will be able to apply IFRS standards and be able to assist with the production ofgroup financial statements. This role will allow the right candidate to directly impact the success of many large firms who work with our client. The right candidate for this role could also be someone who is looking for the opportunity to move from practiceto industry and add breadth to their current experience.Package & Benefits:

Group Accountant Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with Statutory accounts, Tax returns, VAT, Government statistics
  • Preparation of interim/year-end audit
  • Monthly intercompany reconciliations and transfer pricing adjustments
  • Ownership and maintenance of fixed asset registers
  • Assisting with the drafting of key accounting policy documents
  • Identify and implement process improvements, carrying out reviews of policies and procedures
  • To assist in review of the financial implications of proposed legislation
What were looking for
  • Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with a strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS and UK GAAP)
  • Understanding of basic tax/VAT principles
  • Familiarity with statutory financial statement requirements
  • Competent in use of Excel
  • Strong leadership and communication skills under pressure/tight deadlines
  • Highly self-motivatedwith the ability to self-critique and perform self-assessment
It would be advantageous if you:
  • Have external audit experience/experience in a Plc environment
  • Have practical experience applying IFRS 15 (Revenue), IFRS 16 (lease accounting), IAS 38 (R&D) and IFRS 3 (Business combinations)
Hours:
  • Full-time, Monday to FridayHome Working / Hybrid
