Howarth Morris are recruiting a Group Finance Director for a PE backed food manufacturer based in the East Midlands with further manufacturing sites in the North West within a Group structure. With over 300 staff, and growing, the business has grown witha buy & build strategy in a very clear market segment and a blue chip, retail / wholesale customer base. With a turnover in excess of £40 million and strong profit record the business is now looking to strengthen its senior management team.After a period of recent investment into the operations, the Board has identified the need to develop succession for future growth with this appointment. Reporting to the CEO, this is a Board role leading a team of 20 across 3 locations and also with the remitto execute a number of projects to drive improvements. You will be responsible for all commercial and operational finance and encouraged to develop a best in class function from an existing strong foundation. As well as full ownership of finance, your dutieswill also include:-* Redesigning finance processes (order to cash, purchase to pay) and team to improve efficiency and controls* Improve visibility across the operations through detailed analysis and reporting* Improve communication between finance and operations* Provision of transfer pricing intergroup and external margin control* Expand the control and influence of finance across the business* Supporting the operations and planning with daily visible metrics* Consolidated reporting to the Investors* Lead the design and implementation of the finance module of a new ERPThe successful candidate will be commercial, driven and enthusiastic. A Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent), you will have proven experience in FMCG, logistics, supply chain or a similar sector where customers are demanding, margins challengingand results for excellence are rewarding. You will also be a proven business partner - as comfortable on the shop floor as you are in the Boardroom.
