An established, Nottingham-based Engineering business that supplies to the rail, energy and infrastructure sectors across the UK and Europe is hiring 2 Project Engineers to join their Signals and Controls teams.Working alongside a team of experienced engineers you will work towards independently managing smaller to medium-sized projects. This will mean interpreting and understanding the project specifications so that you can monitor and maintain operational processesthroughout the projects lifecycle.You will use your ability to read, understand and interpret engineering and schematic drawings to produce Bills of Materials and update methods of manufacture statements.During the projects lifecycle, you will investigate and diagnose problems to understand the root cause of defects and propose workable engineering solutions.Ideally, you will be a graduate from an engineering discipline that has included fundamental Electrical and Electronic Principles. Any understanding of Signals and Control systems will also be beneficial. Relevant studies include Electrical, Electronic,Control Systems, Communications, Aerospace, Mechatronic, or Software Engineering.An understanding or experience with MRP / ERP systems, proficiency in MS Office and 3D modelling softwares will be essential. You must be able to demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and will be willing to undertake further learning as required.Any work experience in a customer-facing role will be a benefit and ideally you will hold a driving license to allow for travel to customer sites in the UK.
