Graduate Bid WriterNottingham£21,000 per annumFull Time (35 hours per week)Fixed term contract for 12 monthsIf you are an ambitious graduate looking to take the first step in your career, our client may have the perfect role for you.They are looking to recruit a Graduate Bid Writer to join their Business Development Team based in Nottingham.To give you a bit of background, they are a housing association with 45 years of experience in delivering housing, care and support. As one of the biggest housing associations in the East Midlands, last year they were able to deliver almost 1 million hours of care and support to more than 1000 vulnerable people!As part of the Business Development Team, you?d be working alongside great colleagues, managers and delivery teams across a wide range of services for vulnerable adults. Last year, they won 73.3% of the bids/tenders they submitted and secured £3.9m of funding - this is due to their skilled and passionate team and they?re excited to welcome a new individual to help them get these figures even higher.In your role as Graduate Bid Writer, you?ll be using your writing, communication and influencing skills to help them secure funding that allows them to retain existing services and develop new services across the East Midlands. Don?t worry about being thrown in the deep end as you?ll be given great support to help you develop your bid-writing skills; this includes access to courses, a mentor, hands-on experience and the opportunity to attend industry conferences.The successful candidate must have graduated within the last 3 years with the minimum of a 2:1 and be highly motivated with a strong desire to contribute to the development of services for people with care and support needs. You must be able to demonstrate excellent writing, comprehension, interpersonal and communication skills, good attention to detail and the ability to follow through relevant tasks from start to finish.They will provide a structured 12 month training programme, combining practical experience, professional development and the opportunity to network with peers from their other departments and external agencies.At the end of your training programme you will have acquired excellent knowledge of the housing and social care sectors on which to build a successful career.This is a fixed term contract for 12 months with the possibility for the post to be extended or made permanent.*10 Reasons to work for them:
