Job Description

Global L&D Manager, Global Brands Beauty – Interim 9-12 monthsNottingham Support OfficeIf you’re ready to flex your L&D muscles and lead a team of educational experts to deliver world class learning, then this is the job for you.We’re looking for someone who can innovate ahead of the game and thrives in a fast-paced environment. We’re a big fan of all things digital, so of course that will play a big part in what you’ll deliver. It’ll be over to you to partner with our global markets and beauty brands (think Liz Earle, No7, Soap & Glory and Botanics to name but a few), developing a suite of blended learning materials with digital at the core that support colleagues in delivering a next-level customer experience.We’re at an exciting point in our journey, and we’d love you to join us.Key Responsibilities• Lead, motivate and develop the education team to create industry leading, globally relevant education materials that put colleagues and customers at the heart• Collaborate and partner with our global markets and beauty brands to develop an annual education plan that drives commercial results. Use this plan to shape the longer-term strategy with the wider team• Lead the team to create bespoke learning solutions for every new product launch. Drive a blended learning approach, with a focus on digital/video, in-store coaching programmes and facilitated workshops• Put digital at the heart, always innovating and evolving content so that it’s current, relevant and inspiring, leveraging our digital learning platform• Ensure all education projects support the short, medium and long-term business priorities, are right for the learner and support the function’s three-year vision and plan• Own the education budget for design and tool creation• Support the team in the creation of multi-market education materials and selling/service models linked to our Global Brands• Creation of leadership interventions for key roles• Responsible for engaging our global market partners in the education plan and direction of travel, to include supporting the delivery of an annual convention• Evaluating and measuring learning interventions to demonstrate ROI or ROE• Champion Global Brands in everything we doA bit about you…• You can demonstrate experience of leading, motivating and developing an education team• You’ll be able to evidence a strong understanding of and experience in applying adult learning methods and techniques to learning interventions to obtain optimum engagement and results. For example, self-directed learning, microlearning, device-friendly content design/mobile learning, formal v informal learning, social learning, on-the-job learning, action learning, case study, peer to peer, e-learning, formative and summative assessment• A comprehensive understanding of blended-learning, and evidence of experience in successfully designing and deploying blended learning within the workplace, that includes modern digital learning methods such as e-books, video learning, e-learning, module learning, gamification, podcasts.• Outstanding communication skills and ability to work in a highly matrix organisation• Extremely strong project management skills, and can evidence the execution of this• Minimum CIPD Learning & Development Practice level 3 or equivalent preferred• Authority on both brands and retailers and how they manage the effective learning and development of their people• Commercial acumen and strong understanding how to deliver commercial outcomes through the development of people• Relationship management across network of brands, stakeholders, retailers and markets (internal and external)• Role model team leadership to create future Education leaders for Global WBA organisationA bit about us…At Walgreens Boots Alliance – Global Brands, we believe in being PIONEERING, INSPIRATIONAL and CONNECTING with people.
