My client, a specialist UK based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join a supportive Water Team based in Nottingham. This role can be based from home and will involve a mix of site visits andclient meetings.It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background including a MSc and/or BSc in Hydrology, Environmental Management or Engineering and have experience working for a UK based Consultancy completing flood risk assessments, flood mapping usingArcGIS, drainage strategies and design.This exciting opportunity will offer the chance to join a supportive team based in Nottingham. You will have the opportunity to complete varied Flood Risk, Flood Protection and Drainage Projects for Private Sector Clients, Local Authorities and Water Companies.As a Flood Risk Consultant you will be required to complete the following;-Flood Risk Assessments for Planning Applications for flood zone 1,2 and 3.-Flood Estimation using ReFH.-Drainage Strategies.-Drainage design using Microdrainage and AutoCAD.-Due Diligence for prospective property purchases.-Site Investigation of drainage for properties.-Flood Surveys.-Reviewing Environmental Permits, Topographic Surveys and Lidar Surveys.This role offers a mix of site and office based work, a competitive salary, substantial benefits package, training and career progression.
