Job Description

Here at HM Land Registry, we have an exciting opportunity availablefor a Financial Analyst. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis working a minimum requirement of 30 hours per week and, in return,you will receive a competitive salary of £33,839per annum. Upon meeting eligibility you may be entitled to a non-pensionable accountancy allowance of up to £8,245.HM Land Registry is a successful, high-performing, innovative organisation. For more than 150 years HM Land Registry (HMLR) has protected and guaranteed peoples land and property rights by keeping and maintaining the Land Register for England and Wales.HMLR aims to become the worlds leading land registry for speed, simplicity, and an open approach to data.As our Financial Analyst, you will report into a Finance Business Partner, delivering high quality financial analytic support to the finance business partnering team and wider organisation, supporting effective business decision making andstrong financial management and planning. The successful candidate will enjoy building and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders, at all levels, across the organisation.You will join a dynamic team who are setting a high bar for finance business partnering, across the Civil Service. This will be a critical role in HMLR supporting both the finance business partnering and wider finance function.Key responsibilities for the Financial Analyst:

  • Providing professional financial advice, finance-related analysis and support to budget managers and the wider finance community, ensuring financial issues are resolved and governance processes are followed
  • Building financial capability in the organisation through coordination, development, and delivery of training in Finance governance, constraints, and controls, while coaching teams and individuals
  • Supporting with robust forecasts, transformation business cases and business plans, planning activities and supporting contract managers and the commercial team with contract and tender evaluations, this will be busy and varied role, where you can supportthe Finance Business Team and wider financial leadership team
  • Designing, developing, testing, and implementing improvements to management information for budget managers, using financial modelling systems and tools, supporting evidence-based decision making

  • Able to demonstrate experience as a skilled financial professional, with strong analytical ability and excellent communication skills
  • Experience in producing, analysing, and evaluating financial data to make recommendations for business decisions
  • Ability to make strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and have experience of training and coaching in financial principles and practices
  • Able to exercise sound judgement in providing professional financial support and advice to a range of stakeholders, enabling a clear understanding of complex information
