In this role you will report into a Finance Manager who has been with the company for over 6 years now, and enjoys being able to pass on their knowledge. This role has previously seen candidates who have a background within accountancy practices take to the new challenge in a positive way. Whilst the role will allow you to expand on your exposure, there is lots of translatable areas within the job descriptionto ease the adjustment and allow you to thrive. This company operate a flexible hybrid model, where travel to the office is only required two days a week. There is also a great pension offering (up to 8% matched), annual bonus scheme and healthcare plan to list but a few extras tied into this position.Role: Financial AccountantLocation: Nottingham, NottinghamshireHybrid Working Pattern: 2 days office a week / 3 days working from home a weekSalary: Ideally up to £50,000 + 10% bonusThe role duties include the following:- Completion and submission of statutory accounts to the wider group.- Completion and compilation of monthly financial reports.- Preparation of VAT returns and journals.- Support the FP&A team in preparation of budgets and forecasts.- Preparation of annual tax packs.- Preparation of documents to support the internal and external audits.- Liaising with stakeholders to present accounts findings when required.This role will need someone who is:- Ideally fully qualified in ACA/CIMA/ACCA, however finalists with 4 exams or fewer remaining are also considered.- Has previous experience within an accountancy practice – or experience within industrial financial accounts procedures.- Proficient with excel and accountancy software.If this role sounds appealing, please do make sure to register your interest by submitting your application.
