Job Description

Reed are working in partnership with Nottinghamshire County Council and are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join the Children & Families team.In this role you will be providing high quality financial advice and support to Head Teachers, School Budget Managers and Governors. You will be required to carry out on-site/remote visits to schools around the County.Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing timely and accurate information and advice to budget holders, allowing effective management of their budgets and assisting them in carrying out their financial duties, constructively challenging where appropriate
  • Monitoring performance of budgets and analysing key variances, proposing remedial action as required
  • Analysing, interpreting and communicating financial and performance data, and providing financial advice in the form of management and board reports. Completing financial returns and questionnaires as required
  • Producing accurate financial forecasts and plans highlighting potential opportunities and risks
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and professional accounting standards
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Will as a minimum be AAT qualified with substantial post-qualification experience
  • Will have knowledge and understanding of financial management and financial frameworks in a large organisation
  • Will have experience of providing financial advice and support to management teams
  • Will have experience of financial planning and management for a group of service areas
