Our mission is to become the housebuilder of choice in the North by making aspirational homes attainable.Due to continued success and future business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our team based at our Midlands head office in Nottingham.The RoleAre you a strong communicator and proactive Do you have experience working as a Commercial Admin, Purchase Ledger or Finance Admin Do you want to be a part of a friendly, driven team If yes, then look no further your next career could be withus! Joining our team as Finance Assistant you will be responsible for the processing of sub-contractor applications for payment, generating payment runs covering both subcontract and purchase ledgers, and the recording and processing of all sales transactionsfor the business (House Sales, Sundry Sales, Contract Sales).Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Processing sub-contractor applications for works in the COINS system.
  • Working with the commercial team to agree the same and where appropriate clear for payment.
  • Generating proposed sub-contract and purchase ledger payment runs for review and approval.
  • Keeping all cashbooks up to date on a daily basis within the COINS system
  • Production of weekly Bank reconciliations
  • Providing cash reporting to Regional Finance Teams in accordance with the Group reporting timetable
  • Processing of Housing Sales completion statements within the COINS system
  • Raising of Sundry and contract Sales Invoices within the COINS system
  • Credit Control and chasing of all outstanding debts when they become due
  • Review of Plot Balance reports on a monthly basis
Who are we looking for
  • Knowledge of processing payment applications, invoices, and payments.
  • Knowledge of bank reconciliations and using computerised cash books.
  • Previous Sales Ledger or commercial Administration experience
  • Excellent knowledge and application of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Good communication skills required in dealing with customers
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Flexible attitude
  • COINS experience is desirable
