Job Description

Are you a dedicated and compassionate legal professional with a passion for family law Join my clients esteemed law firm, based in Nottingham, as a Family (Care) Paralegal and make a meaningful impact on the lives of families in need.The firm are committed to providing exceptional legal services in the area of family law, with a specific focus on care proceedings. They understand the sensitive and complex nature of these cases and strive to provide comprehensive support and representationto their clients.As a Family (Care) Paralegal, you will play a vital role in the Family Law department, assisting the team of experienced lawyers in handling care proceedings and related matters. You will have the opportunity to work closely with clients, solicitors, andother professionals involved in the process, ensuring the best possible outcome for families and children.Responsibilities:

  • Assisting fee earners in all aspects of care proceedings, including case preparation, legal research, and drafting legal documents.
  • Managing and organising case files, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.
  • Liaising with clients, providing updates, and gathering relevant information.
  • Attending court hearings and meetings, taking accurate notes, and providing support to the legal team.
  • Conducting legal research and keeping up-to-date with changes in family law and care proceedings.
  • Collaborating with external professionals, such as social workers and experts, to gather evidence and information.
  • Assisting in the preparation of trial bundles and other documentation required for court proceedings.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical and professional standards at all times.
