Head of Sustainable EnergyNottinghamTemp or Perm37 hours per weekRate NegotiableWe have a fantastic opportunity for the Head of Sustainable Energy to join their Property department.The successful candidate will lead the Sustainable Energy Team and will be responsible for monitoring Central government housing energy strategies and initiatives, with the aim of maximising the funding opportunities they present.The role:You will lead in the companys participation in delivering the Energy Strategy and lead the partnerships between local, regional and national partnersYou will deliver and implement the strategy for tackling fuel poverty and lead on the strategy to make homes more sustainableThis role is responsible for managing the Environmental Strategy and the successful delivery of projects which improve the energy efficiency and sustainability of homesWe will also look to you to implement and manage new schemes including procuring contracts for maintenance and energy, setting tariffs, reporting on performance, ensuring effective operation and income recoveryYou will be responsible for team planning, resources, organisation and managing your team within the Companys culture and values. You will be accountable for the teams performance and for the delivery of the teams objectives and targets.You will be committed to developing the staff within your area and have proven people management experience that focuses on creating optimum performance.We require someone who has innovative approach and sound problem-solving skills who can think outside the box to come up with solutions for ever changing challenges, keep up to date with new initiatives and to share best practiceThe person:We are looking for someone with a solid background in national energy and carbon saving agenda for government housing initiatives and funding, as well as experience of working on capital and or regeneration schemes.You will also have proven experience, knowledge and understanding of the legal framework (acts and statutes) relating to housing services and people management.Ideally, you will hold a degree level qualification or equivalent in a related discipline plus a people management qualification or the associated experience.In exchange for your hard work you will receive a fantastic benefits package that include:Flexible workingPlease click apply if you are interested
