A Housing Association based in Nottinghamshire is looking for a Technical Officer/Surveyor to join their Energy Projects team. This is a full time, temporary ongoing agency role and the successful candidate must have a full relevant Construction/Surveying based qualification ideally within Mechanical or electrical services, experience dealing with energy projects/housing upgrades and ideally a strong background in Residential projects.The main purpose of the role is to join the Sustainable Energy team to undertake improvement and efficiency projects to tenants homes.Works Include: wrapping the outside of homes with new factory made walls and a roof, connecting it to a more efficient, renewable energy, heating and electrical system.Installation of new internal ventilation systems, significantly improved insulation, Reduced air leakage and draughts, High performance windows & doors, Integrated solar panels on roof, Aluminium gutters and downpipes, Low maintenance durable weatherboarding, Gas boiler replaced with a renewable energy heating system, Energy efficient ventilation systemSpecific skills/knowledge: Ideally from a surveying background, Mechanical and Electrical knowledge would be desirable and general building knowledge and experience is essentialParticular background/ experience: Preferably construction surveyor/manager with experience of complex major retrofit refurbishment projects, social housing desirable.Any specific qualifications required: Flexible approach, problem solving/solution focused/motivated, hardworking/can perform under pressure. Managing competing prioritiesFor safety reasons we expect all temporary staff to dress appropriately for the area of the business they will be working in and abide by all health and safety policiesThe successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies/attributes;Construction/Surveying QualificationExperience In Repairs & Maintenance/Improvements/Energy worksNeed to be able and willing to travel to different Nottingham sitesThe client is looking to move quickly with appointing to this position and as such, are offering a rate of £22 p/hr Umbrella ltd (Approx. £560 p/week NET after deductions) for the duration of the assignment.
