Job Description

Electronics Development Engineer| Nottingham | Salary - £42000 - £48000Cherry Professional are currently working with a market leading Engineering company. You will be responsible for all aspects ranging from the design to the testing and development of the electronics relevant to the broad range of products and solutions offered.The duties range in complexity from small, embedded circuits to control boards of much greater complexity. Delivering schematics, proof-of-concept and design documentation will be expected.Responsibilities:

  • Testing and development of remote condition monitoring of rail and geotechnical environments, through CCTV & networking technologies to customer information systems and digital displays.
  • Ensure prototype solutions can be transitioned to be efficiently produced and supported at scale.
  • Conduct CDR (Critical Design Reviews).
  • Contribute to system installation manuals.
  • Implement Remote Condition Monitoring (RCM) to be used as a safety critical system
  • Design of communications systems for remote applications, including various and unique sensor flexibility such as LiDAR (Obstacle Detection), Tilt Sensor (Landslip Monitoring), Capacitive Sensor (Flood Monitoring), and Solar Powered Cameras.
  • Work within & contribute to the improvement quality management system (ISO 9001:2015).
  • Actively grow knowledge of domain relevant standards, e.g. EN 50126, 50128, 50129
Ideal Candidate:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering, Robotics or similar.
  • 2-3 years engineering experience.
  • Experience with development of comprehensive technical proposals
  • Rail signal and communications experience.
  • Remote condition monitoring experience.
  • Thorough and pay attention to detail.
  • Analytical problem solving skills.
  • Design skills and knowledge.
