Job Description

What a year 2020 has been for the Recruitment industry! Step Recruitment is coming out of this year fighting and we are now in a good position to offer an experienced recruiter the opportunity to join our team. This key appointment will be instrumental in the growth of the business and will have the opportunity to grow a team underneath them.Step is an established graduate recruitment brand with a reputation for supporting primarily smaller growing businesses with their graduate recruitment needs. Having been set up in 1985 as an internship programme to support young people, we now manage a variety of roles across a mix of sectors including Engineering, IT, Marketing, Professional Services and the Public Sector. We offer ad hoc one off permanent recruitment services as well as managing larger recruitment campaigns which can generate over 500 applications at a time.We are now looking for a recruitment professional with proven success in generating new business in a job led market. As well as business development, you must be willing and able to manage the whole 360 recruitment process from writing compelling adverts, to interviewing and screening candidates and managing the interview and offer process. Due to our long history and investment in our website, we receive plenty of inbound enquiries as well as having a secure client base. So you will have some existing relationships on which to build.Key Skills:

  • New business development - outbound prospecting, networking, research
  • Copywriting - job adverts, blog content, mailshots
  • Recruitment activities - interviewing, screening, CV preparation, interview management
  • Resourcing activities - Linked In research, database searching, university liaison
  • To execute this key role, we are looking for an organised, confident and articulate recruitment professional. Your experience will have given you the ability to listen and respond to customer requirements in a solution-focused manner. You will have the flexibility, resilience, and creativity to respond positively to whatever a post-Covid world is going to throw at you, whilst working collaboratively with your teammates.This is an exciting time to be joining the team here at Step. Despite the challenges of Covid we will double our turnover this year. We are a secure growing business that offers the right person the opportunity to grow their own team and become a key part of the management of the business in the future. The most important starting point is that you must enjoy developing new business as well as managing your own workload to achieve results.We offer a starting salary in the region of £25,000 with an uncapped bonus scheme which means you will be rewarded for consistent billing.
