My client, a local authority based in Nottinghamshire is looking for a Disposals/Valuation Surveyor to join their team. This is a full time, temporary ongoing agency contract and the successful candidate must have a full Surveying qualification, extensive experience with valuations and disposals, be fully chartered and registered valuer and ideally have extensive experience in local authority/public sector roles.The main purpose of the role is to provide professionally competent valuation and surveying advice and expertise to identify and deliver an asset review and disposal programme and contribute where necessary with portfolio and property management including asset valuation. The successful candidate will handle sales by auction, informal tender and private treaty, assist in complex transactions and work collaboratively with colleagues, tenants, outside parties and Councillors.Additional responsibilities associated with this role are as follows;Provide professionally competent valuation and surveying advice and expertise to deliver the asset review programmeTo work as part of a team to identify and deliver a programme of property disposals by private treaty, informal tender and auction in order to meet capital receipts targetsCollaborate closely with property and other service colleagues to identify property assets for disposal, de-risk sites and work through value enhancement solutions to optimise disposal values and build a robust disposal pipelineUndertake the day to day management of commercial properties within the property portfolio and if needed support the Councils asset valuation process. To participate and advise Council services on the operational asset review undertaking options appraisals and information to inform decision making on the retention or disposal of service premisesThe successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies/attributes;Degree level or equivalent Chartered MembershipRegistered valuerThe client is looking to move quickly with appointing to this position and as such, are offering £300 p/day Umbrella Ltd (approx. £920 NET p/week after deductions) for the duration of the role.
